Mercy Tips for Overwatch beginners! My top ten tips for playing Mercy in Overwatch, for the aspiring support player. These are all things I wish I'd known when I started playing Mercy, and after 30 hours on the character these are the best tips I can give you.

Mercy is arguably the strongest 'healer' support hero in Overwatch, arguing with Lucio for the top spot. Mercy excels in single target healing and her AOE res ultimate makes her very strong in competitive play. However, she needs her teams help to really shine so if you're running nothing but public games and everybody ditches you constantly, you may be better switching heroes. These Mercy tips should get you started in Overwatch Support but this is all from the perspective of an FPS beginner so after a certain point you'll have to follow your heart!

Setting up your controls to be comfortable and fixing your Mercy options just right in the character-specific Options screen is the place to start. Make sure you can easily and accurately reach all of your abilities- if you have a multi-button mouse I found it easier to bind things to the mouse buttons. Mercy's not the only hero with character-specific control options in Overwatch, so make sure you look through the rest!
