These exercises are intended solely for the use of patients of Ultimate Sports Medicine (USM). They should only be performed under the advice and direction of your USM physician or a qualified sports physician.

The single leg squat is performed with the assistance of step up blocks in this video. The patient will balance on one leg and begin to sit back in a slow and controlled manner. Be sure that when descending, the balancing leg's knee stays in line with the hip and middle toe and does not deviate inward. Also the knee should not go past the toes as explained in the video. After making contact with the blocks, drive through the heel to get back to the starting position.
